About the Role\
We are seeking an exceptional PhD Research Fellow to join our team in the Department of Physics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge project, developing new techniques for particle accelerator final focusing for medicine and research.\
\
Key Responsibilities\
  • Conduct experimental and numerical simulation work on the development of new techniques for particle accelerator final focusing.
  • Collaborate with the project leader and other researchers to design, build, and test a proof-of-concept system for precise control of particle beams.
  • Work on modeling and optimization of beam optics, radiation transport simulation, and plasma wakefield simulations.

Requirements\
To be eligible for this position, you must have a Master's degree or equivalent in physics or engineering, and experience with programming, simulation tools, and experimental physics. You should also have good knowledge of several topics, including plasma physics, electrodynamics, mathematical modeling, computational physics, and high-performance computing.\
