Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and passionate English Language Teacher to join our team at The Educational Equality Institute. As a language teacher, you will play a vital role in enhancing the language skills of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans to teach basic language skills to students.
  • Conduct online or in-person language classes for students, focusing on their individual needs and progress.
  • Evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their language skills.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Provide support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops provided by The Educational Equality Institute to enhance your teaching skills and stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners, preferably in a multicultural setting.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills, with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education and a commitment to promoting social equality.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • A language teaching certificate or equivalent qualification is highly valued.
