Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Piping Superintendent to join our team at SBM Offshore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and commissioning of piping systems on our offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe and timely completion of piping scope, monitoring field construction activities to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with SBM Engineering, Contractors, Vendors, and Fabrication Yard to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Supervise SBM Supervisors and Contractors Supervisors to ensure they are familiar with project requirements.
  • Monitor Contractor performance and provide feedback to ensure high-quality work.
  • Complete discipline scope safely and monitor field construction activities to ensure design requirements are met.
  • Ensure adequate inspections are carried out by the Contractor's QC departments.
  • Monitor and verify all testing within the discipline, including hydro testing and N2He leak testing.
  • Work closely with the Completions Team to participate in the final completion check out and approval of Inspections and Test records (ITRs), and assist in the write-up and execution of Operational Test Procedures (OTPs).
  • Advise the Completions team of any deficiencies in the work performed.
  • Participate in the approval of proposed resolutions and monitoring completion of corrective actions to close non-conformances.
  • Assist in maintaining the punch list and assist in the verification of items completed.
  • Assist the site planner with progress verification.
  • Assist other disciplines within the Completions Team in the preparation of commissioning activities.
Requirements

A technical College Diploma.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in the piping discipline in the offshore industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO/FSO Floating Production vessels.

Fluent in spoken and written English.
