RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To oversee the construction and project management of major offshore projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • To drive the subcontractor to achieve project targets, ensuring high-quality work and efficient execution.
  • To manage, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the construction team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

MAIN TASKS

  • To prepare and scope work for yard subcontracts, ensuring accurate and detailed documentation.
  • To participate in the elaboration of the construction execution plan, ensuring clear understanding and adherence by the site team.
  • To organize, schedule, and supervise all construction team activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • To ensure compliance with project contract and specifications, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • To identify opportunities for cost savings, while preserving quality and company interests.
  • To ensure relevant QA and HSE procedures are understood, in place, and enforced by all construction personnel.
  • To be responsible for the quality and safety performance of all construction personnel working under their authority.
  • To establish and/or review construction procedures and planning input for the part of the scope under their authority.
  • To manage all construction work, ensuring it is carried out in accordance with relevant SBM drawings, specifications, and/or codes.
  • To plan and analyze work progress, assess situations, and initiate corrective actions as required.
  • To write and issue progress reports, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • To report significant extraordinary events, including HSSE matters, to the main office without delay.
  • To provide assistance and advice to construction personnel working under their authority.
  • To ascertain the needs for training and development of construction personnel and inform the Departmental Construction & Completions Manager.
  • To participate in the review, development, and update of GEMS, Departmental Working Instructions, and Job Descriptions relative to their scope of work.
  • To feedback Lessons Learned inputs for implementation on future projects.
  • To carry out end-of-year employee performance evaluations for personnel having worked under their responsibility.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A university degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science.
  • A minimum of 15 years experience in construction and/or project management in the offshore industry, with particular emphasis on FPSO/FSO Floating Production vessels.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
