Key Objectives


To oversee the construction of major components of an FPSO/FSO, including Topsides Modules, Vessel Conversion works, and Turret, ensuring all constructional aspects are handled by the Company.
To drive the Subcontractor to achieve project targets, fostering a collaborative environment.
To manage, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the Construction Team allocated to their part of the Project.

Main Tasks


Prepare and scope work for Yard Subcontracts, ensuring clarity and understanding.
Participate in the elaboration of the Construction Execution Plan, ensuring Site Team comprehension.
Organize, schedule, and supervise all Construction Team activities under their authority.
Ensure safe and efficient construction practices, adhering to project specifications.
Familiarize themselves with project contracts and specifications, ensuring adherence.
Initiate actions to maximize cost savings while preserving Quality and Company interests.
Ensure QA and HSE procedures are understood, implemented, and enforced by Construction personnel.
Responsible for Quality and Safety performance of Construction personnel under their authority.
Establish and/or review construction procedures and planning input for their part of the scope.
Manage construction work, ensuring adherence to SBM drawings, Specifications, and/or Codes.
Plan and analyze work progress, assess situations, and initiate corrective actions as required.
Write and issue progress reports weekly or as agreed with the PMT.
Report significant extraordinary events, including HSSE matters, to the main office without delay.
Provide assistance and advice to Construction personnel under their authority.
Ascertain training needs for Construction personnel and inform the Departmental Construction & Completions Manager.
Participate in reviewing, developing, and updating GEMS, Departmental Working Instructions, and Job Descriptions relative to their scope of work.
Feedback Lessons Learned inputs for implementation on future projects.
Carry out end-of-year employee performance evaluations for personnel under their responsibility.

Requirements


A university degree or technical college diploma in Engineering or Materials Science.
A minimum of 15 years of experience in Construction and/or Project Management in the offshore industry, with emphasis on FPSO/FSO Floating Production vessels.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
