About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in managing, processing, and analysing geospatial data to support Mitigrate's mission of reducing climate risks. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing robust pipelines to process large-scale geospatial datasets, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in geospatial data workflows, building and maintaining APIs for seamless data integration with front-end systems and third-party platforms, and implementing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform to support geospatial processes. You will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and product teams to gather and refine requirements for geospatial projects and contribute to the company's remote sensing and geospatial analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Designing and implementing robust data pipelines to process large-scale geospatial datasets.
  2. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in geospatial data workflows.
  3. Building and maintaining APIs for seamless data integration with front-end systems and third-party platforms.
  4. Implementing and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform to support geospatial processes.
