About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Architect to join our IT Security team at IF Vahinkovakuutus. As a Cloud Security Architect, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of cloud-based systems within our organization.

Your expertise will be focused on Microsoft Azure, but you may also work with other cloud platforms such as Google Cloud. You will be responsible for creating secure design recommendations for cloud applications, covering areas such as data protection, key management, authentication, and authorization.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Security Leadership and Architecture:
    • Act as a lead evangelist on security-related subjects related to Microsoft Azure, public cloud, container technologies, infrastructure transformation, networking, and data center operations.
    • Create secure design recommendations for cloud applications, covering areas such as data protection, key management, authentication, and authorization.
  2. Subject Matter Expertise:
    • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on cloud security for our organization.
    • Develop standards, policies, and procedures best practices documentation.
    • Participate in working groups to tailor the company's security policies and standards for use in cloud environments.
  3. Risk Assessment and Communication:
    • Translate security and technical requirements into business requirements.
    • Communicate security risks to different audiences, ranging from business leaders to engineers.
  4. Technical Solutions:
    • Design technical solutions, including creating prototypes and proofs of concept while maintaining a security mindset.
    • Collaborate closely with application developers and system administrators to deliver creative solutions to complex technology challenges and business requirements.
Requirements
  • A relevant degree such as Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Business, Technical, Engineering, Information Systems, Design, Education, Information Security, or Information Technology is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, TOGAF, and cloud technology-related ones from Microsoft and Google are valuable but not mandatory.
