Job Title: HSE Auditor

Noble is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HSE Auditor to join our team. As an HSE Auditor, you will be responsible for leading audit teams in conducting management system and compliance audits for our offices, facilities, and installations worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead audit teams in the performance of HSE management system and compliance audits
  • Provide support to the Corporate HSE Audit Manager in the development and execution of HSE audit plans
  • Maintain a working knowledge and general understanding of HSE regulations and requirements for the jurisdictions within which the company operates
  • Compile and maintain audit records
  • Report audit results to the Corporate HSE Audit Manager
  • Contribute to and support corporate HSE compliance efforts
  • Interact with personnel throughout the Company conveying the department's guiding principles of integrity, objectivity, innovation, excellence, and teamwork
  • Assist with special projects as needed
Requirements:
  • Minimum undergraduate degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum seven years of MODU industry experience with three years in an auditing/compliance assessment role
  • Documented formal training in auditing principles from an industry recognized training provider
  • Professional auditor (BEAC, ISO, etc.) and/or HSE (ASP, CSP, NEBOSH) certification strongly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct audits using established audit principles to evaluate compliance with prescribed standards
  • Valid offshore survival and medical certificates
  • Working knowledge of various worldwide regulatory regimes and requirements including, but not limited to: United States Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE); the United Kingdom's Health & Safety Executive (HSE); and the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA)
  • Working knowledge of various international codes and standards including, but not limited to: International Safety Management Code (ISM); International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS); International Organization for Standardization standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 19011; Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services standard OHSAS 18001; and American Petroleum Institute API-RP75 SEMP for Offshore Operations
  • Demonstrated leadership and team work skills including dealing with conflict and maintaining work flows to achieve audit objectives
  • Proficient in management systems and compliance auditing principles as outlined in ISO 19011
  • Ability to overcome obstacles and barriers to ensure timely execution of audits
  • Effective at managing, guiding, and supporting audit teams
  • Knowledge of different types of MODU's and IMO vessel classifications
  • Knowledge of standards and practices related to offshore drillings rigs (API, IADC, etc.)
  • Proficiency in the development of audit tools (protocols and checklists, etc.)
  • Adept at working in a culturally diverse environment
  • Excellent formal reporting and technical writing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication, and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of SAP
  • Travel is an essential job function (approximately 15-20%, domestic, international, & offshore)
