About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Project Purchasing to join our team at IKM Gruppen AS. As a key member of our Project Purchasing team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all purchasing related activities for our global project portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects
  • Lead a team of purchasing specialists to manage and coordinate purchasing activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Portfolio Directors and external stakeholders, such as suppliers and subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with Nexans' purchasing procedures and policies
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated with large subcontracts
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain
  • At least 10 years of experience in Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain at Manager Level
  • Proven track record of commercial achievements and experience in managing large teams of purchasers in a project environment
  • Strong stakeholder management ability and track record
  • Well-versed in various contract types, including EPCI and FIDIC
  • Good technical understanding of scopes linked to installation and protection of cable onshore, nearshore, and offshore
  • Good knowledge of the Offshore Windfarm market
  • Strong commercial and proactive mindset, with ability to develop a network and long-lasting relationships with suppliers/subcontractors
  • Team player/team builder with high working capacity and resistance to high-pressure periods
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
