Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at Electrician Portsmouth in the field of Computational Biology and Gene Regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced next-generation sequencing omics assays, including SLIC-CAGE, scATAC-seq, and SMF.
  • Analyze and interpret complex bioinformatics data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Curate and manage large datasets for the JASPAR database.
  • Develop and publish scientific manuscripts in top-tier journals.
  • Present research findings at conferences and seminars.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Molecular Biology or a related field.
  • Experience with molecular biological techniques, including cell culture, PCR, qPCR, and RNA isolation.
  • Knowledge of SLIC-CAGE or CAGE protocols and eukaryotic transcriptional regulation.
  • Lab management skills and experience with JASPAR or UniBind databases is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
