The Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM) is seeking a highly motivated PhD candidate to join their team at the University of Oslo.

As a member of the Computational Biology & Gene Regulation group, you will work under the supervision of Anthony Mathelier on cutting-edge research projects related to transcriptional deregulation in breast cancer.

Your responsibilities will include conducting next-generation sequencing omics assays, analyzing and interpreting bioinformatics data, curating data for the JASPAR database, writing and publishing scientific manuscripts, and presenting research findings at seminars and conferences.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Molecular Biology
  • Experience with molecular biological techniques (e.g., cell culture, PCR, qPCR, RNA isolation)
  • Experience with library preparation, high-throughput genomics data generation
  • Knowledge of SLIC-CAGE or CAGE protocols and eukaryotic transcriptional regulation
  • Lab management skills and experience with JASPAR or UniBind databases is a plus
  • Prior supervisory experience is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills in English
