OSM Thome is seeking a 2nd Engineer to join their team on a product tanker. If you are a qualified professional looking to advance your career and work onboard vessels worldwide, this opportunity may be of interest.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing engine room operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the vessel.
- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Monitor and manage fuel and oil consumption to minimize costs and reduce environmental impact.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and machinery performance.
- Valid STCW certification and other relevant qualifications, such as a degree in marine engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer on product tankers, with a strong understanding of ship machinery and engineering systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to work onboard in various locations globally, with a flexible attitude and adaptability.
