Role Overview

In the position of Electrical Consultant - Team Supervisor, we are in search of a skilled, motivated, and dedicated professional. This role is contractual in nature.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Oversight : Demonstrated experience in overseeing the construction of Pooling/Substations (220 KV or higher) within the Power Distribution domain, with a minimum of 6 years in HV/EHV Substation projects.

A solid technical foundation regarding the health metrics of equipment utilized in the transmission framework, alongside familiarity with testing and calibration instruments pertinent to substations and transmission lines is essential.

Proficient in the installation of solar panels and their electrical connections. Capable of installing inverters (central or string). Experience in the installation of transformers, HT/LT panels, switchgears, VCB, UPS, etc., at the site. Knowledge of SCADA installation. Ability to interpret project drawings, SLDs, and installation design aspects of primary equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, CT, CVT, PT, LA, and HT/C&R panels of the substation. Ensure construction activities align with the approved designs and drawings throughout all engineering construction phases related to equipment installation and testing. Conduct daily monitoring of construction progress, addressing quality concerns and ensuring adherence to job site safety protocols. This includes oversight of overall transmission line work (33kV to 220/230kV) and bay-end substation construction. Execute daily inspections to maintain construction quality as outlined in the drawings and specifications for all contractor-performed work. Inspect incoming materials randomly at the site prior to installation, verifying all technical documents such as Material Test Certificates (MTC), MDCC, factory test reports, and warranty-related documents. Prepare material inspection reports for any defective materials identified during inspections.

Material Coordination : Facilitate the EPC contractor's delivery and storage of electrical equipment/materials necessary for AC/DC operations. Maintain accurate inventory records and material usage logs, ensuring the availability of appropriate materials when required.

Safety Management : Guarantee that all installation and erection activities comply with safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct regular safety audits, promote a safety-oriented culture among workers, and implement necessary measures to mitigate potential risks or hazards.

Documentation and Reporting : Keep precise records of erection and installation checklists, including daily progress reports, material usage, and any incidents or delays. Prepare routine reports summarizing the project's status and communicate updates to the project manager.

Stakeholder Coordination : Collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders, including civil engineers and project managers, to ensure the seamless integration of erection and installation activities with other project components.

Required Qualifications

We seek experienced candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

BE/Electrical with over 10 years of experience in electrical equipment erection and installation. Minimum of 6 years of experience as an Electrical Site In-charge on large-scale solar projects. Strong communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports within set deadlines. Proficiency in AutoCAD software and drawing review. Comprehensive understanding of solar energy principles, photovoltaic systems, and components of solar power plants. Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards concerning solar power plant design and installation.
