Job Title: Instrument Technician

EssilorLuxottica Group is seeking a highly skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing equipment at customer premises, providing technical support, and assisting the sales team and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and service equipment at customer premises
  • Attend trade shows and events as required
  • Present instruments and develop excellent relationships with customers
  • Assist in the marketing of equipment
  • Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed and protect the health and safety of visitors and contractors
  • Comply with local PPE requirements and work in line with Environmental & energy policies
Requirements:
  • Suitable technical education
  • Experience working as a service technician
  • Knowledge and use of diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English
  • Computer and network skills, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Highly adaptable and quick to learn
  • Ability to work in an environment requiring close working relationships
  • Well-organized with the ability to plan and manage own workload without supervision
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the optics and ophthalmology market, including hospital/clinical environments
  • Knowledge of EssilorLuxottica diagnostic equipment
  • BSc. Optometry or Diploma in Optometry would be advantageous
Interview Process:

Up to 3 interviews, including with the Instrument Manager Norway, HR, and Instrument Director.

Working Hours and Environment:

The normal working hours will be full-time, Monday to Friday. However, you may need to work longer when necessary. The role is predominantly field-based, with approximately 80-90% of your time spent visiting customers. You may occasionally need to attend conferences, events, trade fairs, and exhibitions. Depending on the size of the area you cover, your job will involve overnight stays away from home.
