Job Overview:

Nexans Norway is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join our legal team. As a key contributor, you will provide expert guidance and support to our business teams, driving project success through strategic contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Contract Drafting and Review: Develop and review contracts, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  2. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with contract agreements, protecting the company's interests.
  3. Internal Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting effective communication and collaboration across departments.
  4. Contract Negotiation Support: Assist in the negotiation of contracts, ensuring fair and mutually beneficial agreements.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in Business Law, ideally with experience in civil and common law or a good understanding of common law principles.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, or renewable projects.
  • Desirable skills include cross-border project management, multicultural environment comfort, and experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including EPCI projects.
