Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Cork. As a key member of our Project Delivery Unit, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale renewable energy projects in Ireland and the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the project management of renewable energy projects at the construction stage.
  • Support the delivery of projects within a safe working environment and industry best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of excellent environmental and HSSE standards.
  • Assist with managing early-stage feasibility studies for projects, including managing external consultants.
  • Support the management of project budget as per Statkraft's Project Governance and Capital Project Model (CPM).
  • Assist in managing the use of internal company resources, including Procurement and Legal to support projects.
  • Ensure Statkraft's requirements are met for renewable energy projects at various stages of development and construction.
  • Coordinate project teams, including external consultants, contractors, and essential service providers.
  • Report on KPI status to the Program Team.
  • Ensure communication, co-operation, and co-ordination between stakeholders and other parties with interfaces to the project.
  • Ensure efficient and regular project meetings and recording of minutes and agreed actions.

Requirements

  • University degree in engineering or natural sciences with experience preferable.
  • Previous experience with electrical high voltage construction or renewable energy projects would be an advantage.
  • Clear affinity with renewables and ideally relevant working experience in the renewable energy industry, particularly in construction processes and environmental assessments.
  • Understanding of renewable energy technology with experience of contracts and technical appendices for main technology supply contracts.
  • Strong communication, relationship building, and management skills, including organisational ability and a target-oriented approach.
  • MS Office 365, Project (or equivalent), AutoCAD (preferably).
  • Ability to concisely frame issues by providing context, analysis, recommendations, and risk/benefit, both in written and verbal format to project teams.
  • Project Management qualification is desirable.
