We are seeking a skilled PhD candidate to join our research team and contribute to advancing our understanding of fish nutrition and health. The successful candidate will investigate the effects of vitamin D on the nutrition, health, and welfare of Atlantic salmon, designing and conducting nutritional trials and experiments, analyzing data using statistical methods, and collaborating with colleagues from various disciplines.

About the Team

You will join our team in the Faculty of Biosciences and Aquaculture, working closely with experienced researchers and academics. Our team is passionate about advancing our understanding of fish nutrition and health, and we are committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment for our researchers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fish nutrition, especially micronutrient nutrition, and very good analytical skills. Practical experience in cell work and a good insight into omics techniques are also essential. A good knowledge of statistical analysis, preferably with R, is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on the effects of vitamin D on Atlantic salmon nutrition, health, and welfare.
  • Design and implement nutritional trials and experiments.
  • Analyze data using statistical methods and interpret results.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines to achieve project goals.
