About the Research

This PhD project aims to explore the impact of vitamin D and its metabolite calcifediol on mineral nutrition, welfare, bone, and skin health in Atlantic salmon. You will design and conduct nutritional trials and experiments, analyze data using statistical methods, and collaborate with colleagues from various disciplines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fish nutrition, especially micronutrient nutrition, and very good analytical skills. Practical experience in cell work and a good insight into omics techniques are also essential. A good knowledge of statistical analysis, preferably with R, is considered an advantage.
