About the Job
We're seeking a Community Manager to lead our H5P project's community engagement, content creation, and growth strategies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with community members, creating engaging content, and designing strategies to attract new contributors and users. If you have a passion for open-source communities and a knack for innovative problem-solving, this might be the perfect role for you.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Community Building:
    • Foster Strong Relationships: Build and nurture strong relationships with community members, contributors, and stakeholders.
    • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain effective communication channels with the community.
    • Cultivate Partnerships: Cultivate partnerships with educational institutions and other relevant organizations.
  2. Content Development:
    • Create High-Quality Content: Develop and curate high-quality content to facilitate user onboarding and knowledge sharing.
    • Maintain Accuracy: Ensure accurate and up-to-date information within the knowledge base.
  3. Community Growth:
    • Design Strategies: Design and execute strategies to attract new contributors, users, and collaborators from the open-source world.
    • Measure Progress: Monitor and measure the effectiveness of growth strategies.
  4. Feedback Management:
    • Analyze Feedback: Gather and analyze user feedback to inform product development and improvement.
    • Implement Changes: Implement changes based on user feedback to continuously improve the experience.
  5. Metrics and Reporting:
    • Track Performance: Track performance metrics, including community engagement, growth, and user satisfaction.
    • Report Insights: Report insights and recommendations to inform community strategies.


You'll Bring to the Role:
  • A deep understanding of open-source communities, including contributing to or managing such projects.
  • Proven experience fostering and growing online communities, especially within the open-source space.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
  • Experience organizing events like webinars, hackathons, or conferences.
