Job Summary

The Child Nutrition Specialist is responsible for assisting in the management of the school nutrition program, including meal planning, food preparation, and customer service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the planning and preparation of menus that meet nutritional standards.
  2. Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes.
  3. Maintain accurate records of food production, inventory, and sales.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and parents.
  5. Collaborate with the School Nutrition Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in food service or a related field.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Food Safety Certification.
