About the Role:

At Leap29, we are seeking a skilled Senior RAMS Engineer to join our global team. This role focuses on enhancing reliability, maintainability, availability, and safety across our projects, from initial phases through to delivery and aftermarket support.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Act as the main contact for all RAMS-related tasks, including vendor audits and assessments.
  2. Lead initiatives in root cause analysis, warranty management, field support, digitalization, preventative maintenance, and condition monitoring.
  3. Collaborate on projects across different phases and locations, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  4. Implement and advocate advanced operation methods such as machine learning and remote control facilities, driving innovation and efficiency.
  5. Serve as the technical liaison for digitalization and automation stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  6. Provide expert advice on real-time monitoring and risk-based maintenance solutions, ensuring optimal project outcomes.
Primary Objectives:
  1. Share and maintain expertise, experiences, and lessons learned within the organization, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  2. Perform and lead RAMS calculations and evaluations, developing necessary tools and utilizing relevant software to drive informed decision-making.
  3. Conduct thorough root cause analyses, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact project delivery.
  4. Calculate and manage warranty, preventative maintenance, and condition monitoring tasks, ensuring optimal asset performance and minimizing downtime.
  5. Develop and maintain procedures, guidelines, work instructions, and templates in collaboration with the team manager, ensuring consistency and compliance.
  6. Build and maintain a Process Systems database containing RAMS data, punch list items, and failure/breakdown reports, providing valuable insights for project improvement.
  7. Support field operations and supervise onshore/offshore tasks related to Process systems products, ensuring effective execution and delivery.
  8. Apply the latest operational methods to provide effective solutions, driving innovation and efficiency across projects.
  9. Assist project engineering leads and managers in meeting project design and execution requirements in line with contracts and client needs, ensuring successful project delivery.
  10. Stay informed about international standards and directives, updating the team on relevant changes and ensuring compliance.
Qualifications:
  1. BSc degree in relevant disciplines; additional relevant studies are a plus, demonstrating a strong foundation in reliability and safety engineering.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  3. Certificates for onshore/offshore work and willingness to renew as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  4. Over 10 years of project execution experience, preferably in the oil and gas sector, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects.
  5. Familiarity with international standards and directives (IEC, ASME, API, ISO, NORSOK, EU Commission), ensuring compliance and best practices.
  6. Experience with specifications from major oil companies such as Shell, BP, Equinor, and Saudi Aramco, demonstrating adaptability and expertise.
  7. Extensive 'office and field' experience in process technologies, including:
    1. Hydrate Inhibition (MEG)
    2. Gas Dehydration (TEG)
    3. Gas Sweetening (Amine)
    4. Water Injection (SRU) / Produced Water Separation
  8. Strong technical advisory skills, providing expert guidance and support to project teams.
  9. Proactive, innovative approach, driving continuous improvement and excellence across projects.
  10. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  11. Proficient in project and internal management tools, procedures, and systems, ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
  12. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with global teams.
  13. Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, C, C++, JavaScript, Typescript, Java), demonstrating adaptability and technical expertise.
  14. Basic understanding of machine learning principles is a plus, driving innovation and efficiency across projects.
