We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oslo. As a Mechanical Engineer at Six Robotics, you will play a critical role in refining and evolving our existing drone platforms to improve manufacturability and performance.

About the Role
  • You will design and modify mechanical components for existing and future drone models using 3D CAD.
  • Utilize 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques for prototyping and part production.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and external manufacturing partners.
  • Oversee and develop our hardware lab and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test suite to support the software team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and modification of mechanical components: Utilize 3D CAD to create designs for existing and future drone models, ensuring manufacturability and performance.
  • Prototyping and part production: Leverage 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques for rapid prototyping and part production.
  • Supplier management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external manufacturing partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts.
  • Hardware lab development: Oversee the development and maintenance of our hardware lab and HIL test suite to support the software team's testing and validation efforts.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD design: Experience designing complex mechanical parts using 3D CAD software.
  • Hands-on experience with 3D printing and additive manufacturing: Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing techniques for prototyping and part production.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes: Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to manage suppliers effectively.
  • Experience maintaining and improving hardware lab environments: Familiarity with hardware lab environments and experience maintaining and improving them for testing and development purposes.
