Associate Professor in Transformation

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Professor in Transformation to join our Institute of Architecture at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO). As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of our preservation and transformation curriculum, teach and supervise MA/diploma students, and participate in research projects in the field of transformation and circular architecture.
Responsibilities- Teach and supervise MA/diploma students in design studios and seminars.
- Develop the preservation and transformation curriculum through collaboration with colleagues and actors in the field.
- Participate in research projects in transformation and circular architecture.
- Develop international teaching collaborations.
- Occasionally participate in the post-professional MA in Architectural Heritage and NORDMAK.
- Carry out administrative duties as needed.
- Other applicable tasks within teaching, research, development, and administration at the Institute of Architecture.
- Master's degree in Architecture.
- Extensive practical experience as an architect in preservation and transformation.
- Academic or artistic production equivalent to PhD level in the field of architecture.
- Documented teaching experience and pedagogical education or experience in teaching and supervision.
- Mastery of English and one of the Scandinavian languages as working languages.
- Experience with building collaborative networks and personal suitability for the position.
We are looking for an international profile with a portfolio that displays an innovative and critical approach to preservation and transformation. The successful candidate will be assessed on artistic criteria and the quality of their architectural work. Originality and innovative thinking are preferred to quantity.
