Job Summary
Mettler Toledo is seeking a talented software developer to join its R&D team in Oslo, Norway. As a senior software engineer, you will be responsible for developing software for 3D measurement instruments using C/C++ programming languages. You will participate in requirements analysis, develop system architectures, and develop signal and image processing technology systems. Your responsibilities will include design, development, and analysis of systems and algorithms for the processing of information from range and image sensors.

Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize algorithms for LiDAR data processing, including point cloud filtering, segmentation, and feature extraction. Implement and integrate LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction. Lead the implementation and integration of state-of-the-art LiDAR image processing techniques, such as image registration, stitching, and 3D reconstruction. Develop programs for data reduction chain, optimizing measurement accuracy and geometrical calibration. Responsible for specification, development, testing, and documentation of software.

Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you should have proficiency in programming languages C / C++ for real-time hardware near embedded programming under tight constraints on computing power and memory footprint. Familiarity with signal processing principles, data acquisition, and processing tools is also required. Analysis of real-time data and evaluation of data reduction methods, along with design of mathematical models of real-world systems and experience with fitting model parameters, are essential skills for this position. Additionally, you should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Applied Physics, Measurement Technology, or equivalent. Fluency in English communication skills is a must.
