We are seeking a highly skilled Molecular Biologist to join our team at the University of Bergen.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will work on characterizing a new fluorescent reporter mouse strain and investigating the role of mechanoregulation for integrin alpha11 expression and function.

Responsibilities:

  • Take part in detailed epitope mapping of integrin alpha11 monoclonal antibodies
  • Investigate the role of mechanoregulation for integrin alpha11 expression and function
  • Characterize alpha11 expression and function in the heart of a novel humanized knock-in mouse strain
  • Conduct research projects and contribute to the development of new research ideas

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Cell Biology, Pharmacology, or Molecular Biology
  • Experience from relevant research projects is considered as positive
  • Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
  • Fluency in oral and written English

  • A competitive salary range of NOK 540,500 - 575,400 per annum
