Job Description:

Our research group, New Technologies and Educational Design (NTED-DIGIT), focuses on developing new knowledge about emerging technologies, formative design, and learning processes at all levels of education. We investigate the use of information and communications technology for teaching and learning using diverse methodological approaches. Our main objectives include exploring the development of teachers' professional digital competence across subject disciplines and educational contexts, and identifying the impact of digitalization on processes related to teaching and learning.

Your Responsibilities:

As a PhD researcher, you will contribute to the project with individual and collaborative research to explore AI's influence on perspectives about controversial scientific topics, such as environmental climate research. You will participate in interdisciplinary research and dissemination duties, and work closely with the research group NTED-DIGIT. Your goal is to complete a doctoral degree on the topic "Environmental Humanities, Language Education, and AI" within three years.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience in educational research investigating environmental humanities topics, language learning, misinformation/source credibility, and/or artificial intelligence technologies in educational contexts is desirable.

We Offer:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a strong international academic environment with dedicated colleagues. As a PhD researcher, you will receive a salary of approximately NOK 532,200 per annum before tax, depending on qualifications and seniority. The period of employment is three years, and you will be affiliated with the research group NTED-DIGIT. We emphasize personal and interpersonal qualities, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.

The salary for this position is NOK 532,200 per annum before tax. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. The period of employment is three years, without teaching duties.
