We are seeking a skilled Senior Project Engineer - Tender Management to enhance our operations. This role presents an exciting opportunity to engage with some of the largest offshore wind tenders and initiatives globally.

The Senior Project Engineer - Tender Management will oversee the comprehensive coordination required to formulate proposals from the initial qualification phase through to the negotiation stage prior to contract award.

Functionally, this position will report to the Engineering Manager while collaborating closely with the Sales & Tendering Manager and the tendering team.

Key Responsibilities

Initially, the role will involve leading the engineering tender team, supporting our Sales & Marketing division for Cables and Foundations, with a future transition into a leading engineering role during project execution. Collaborate with the Tender Manager to establish the execution strategy and necessary actions to meet the objectives of the commercial proposal. Specify deliverables required from all departments involved in the tender process and ensure effective interfaces among Tendering, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Commercial sectors. Develop technical method statements. Create or contribute to timelines and budget estimates. Suggest cost-saving measures by adjusting the execution plan and commercial approach. Ensure compliance with Subsea 7's tendering protocols throughout the tendering process. Engage with the Tender Manager, all departments involved in the tender process, and partners and clients during the negotiation phase. Maintain comprehensive records throughout the bidding process to ensure traceability and facilitate an efficient transition to project teams. Focus on cost management - identifying opportunities within each tender to maximize profitability for the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

A degree in Civil, Mechanical, Marine Construction, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field. Extensive technical experience in Engineering or Operational Departments, with familiarity in the relevant commercial aspects (Contracts, Supply Chain Management, Tendering). A background in managing engineering packages within offshore wind or comparable industries such as offshore oil and gas. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to deliver results under tight deadlines. A strong interest in the multidisciplinary aspects (technology, execution, legal & contract, finance, commercial) of our projects. A meticulous and dedicated approach to ensure compliance with tendering procedures. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Capacity to prioritize workloads effectively, managing time and changes efficiently. Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and collaborate with other departments as necessary. A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to mentor junior engineers.
