Then you need to read on Firmenich Bjørge Biomarin AS - part of DSM-FIRMENICH is looking for a new technician for our maintenance department in Ellingsøy, Ålesund. The technical department is a small, versatile department with high competence in several areas. The department supports, among other things, the operation of steam boiler facilities, refrigeration systems, process lines, and packaging lines. Our workday is very varied.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Performing service and following up service agreements.
• Maintenance/repair of technical equipment.
• Following up on maintenance programs and investments.
• Contributing to technical improvement of equipment.
• Technical on-call troubleshooting, repairs of machines, systems, and process equipment.
• Following up on the operation's internal control system
• Managing our inventories, ordering, receiving, and logistics
• Reporting operational deviations
• Ensuring that the workplace is safe and tidy, and that all activities are carried out without risk of personal injury.

You bring

• Trade certificate or higher education in mechanical, HVAC, or electrical engineering.
• Extensive experience in process, mechanical industry, HVAC, electrical, or similar can compensate for formal education Good professional insight.
• Good computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Proficient in Norwegian and English.
• Forklift certificate, driver's license for cars.
• Boiler operator or boiler attendant certificate.
• Experience with welding.
• Soft skills: systematic, accurate, and independent, has good collaboration skills and a good sense of humor, curious and solution oriented.
• Experience in food production is a plus.
