Automation Engineer – Industrial Control Systems

Location: Sætre, Norway (On-site)

Full-time | Operational Role

Are you passionate about automation, maintenance, and continuous improvement? We're looking for an experienced
Automation Engineer
to take ownership of PLC and SCADA systems in a dynamic industrial environment. This role is hands-on and central to ensuring stable operations, troubleshooting, and supporting development projects.

You'll work closely with production and maintenance teams, contribute to safety and risk assessments, and help drive innovation in control systems. Norwegian fluency (written and spoken) is
required
.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens & AVEVA Wonderware)
  • Troubleshoot control systems and support operational stability
  • Lead and contribute to automation projects from design to commissioning
  • Manage documentation, version control, and licensing
  • Collaborate on safety assessments (HAZID, HAZOP)
  • Design and program PLC/HMI solutions
  • Maintain electrical diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD


Who You Are

  • A self-driven engineer with strong problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in Siemens PLC and AVEVA SCADA (required)
  • Comfortable working in a team and leading technical projects
  • Skilled in translating theory into practical solutions
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English (written and spoken)
