Production Manager

Based: Greater Oslo

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Manager to join our Digital Identity & Security (DIS) team in Norway. Thales is the major provider of documents for the Norwegian government and as Production Manager you will lead the day-to-day production, site and team management of this operation.

Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in:

Production Management
  1. Ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the team's production in coordination with the Regional Production Manager

  2. Ensuring adherence to all service level agreements (SLAs) and maintaining high standards of quality

Team Management
  1. Managing and leading a team of 10 production staff across 2 sites (15km apart)

  2. Overseeing the adherence to Thales DIS HR processes and policies at the Site

  3. Managing resourcing, recruitment and the employee lifecycle

  4. Managing staff welfare needs, including administration (absence/holidays etc.), training planning and any disciplinary actions that may arise

Site Management
  1. Ensuring full compliance with relevant laws and regulations in Norway at the Thales DIS sites including implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules and regulations, in alignment with Thales policies and processes

About you

Ideally, you'll:

  1. Have demonstrable experience managing and leading small to mid-sized production/operations teams within a manufacturing environment

  2. Possess knowledge and understanding of LEAN methodologies to drive process improvements, quality and overall operational efficiency

  3. Have demonstrable experience working within (and maintaining) Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure adherence to targets and overall service delivery commitments

  4. Have demonstrable experience working in an autonomous role with the confidence and competence to run the production operation with minimal support

  5. Be fluent in both written and spoken Norwegian and English languages and be an excellent communicator, collaborator and influencer in order to build relationships with key stakeholders

  6. Be a Norwegian citizen with the ability to obtain Security Clearance at Secret clearance level
