Job Description

Are you an experienced Project Developer / Project Manager in the Onshore Wind industry? Do you want to push the boundaries of your profession and develop your excellence in an open, collaborative and empowering culture? Are you able to manage complex projects on a national and international scale?

If this sounds like you, or you're curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Wind Department as our new Project Developer/Manager for Onshore Wind and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As our new Project Manager, you will be part of our global Onshore Wind Engineering department. You will join a team of highly talented and engaged engineers at the forefront of innovative and complex design techniques in steel and composite materials. You will be responsible for leading and developing high performing, multidisciplinary project teams, across different countries as well as managing a variety of offshore foundation design projects.

If you crave a challenging role but also flexibility and work life balance, this role may be ideal for you.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and execute onshore wind projects from initial planning through to commissioning.
  • Ensure all project goals are met, adhering to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, including Turbine Supply Agreements (TSA) and Balance of Plant (BoP) contracts.
  • Prepare and present project reports and financial metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and implement project execution improvements.
  • Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and compliance documents.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
  • Monitor project progress and implement necessary adjustments to address any issues that arise.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Organize and attend public consultations and meetings to present project plans and address concerns.

Your new team

You will be part of a Wind team with over 500 colleagues worldwide. Ramboll is at the forefront of addressing the green transition and offers a holistic approach to energy that supports the sector on the journey towards more sustainable solutions. We have 20,000 colleagues globally who are passionate about creating sustainable cities and societies.

About you

From the moment you start at Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you can continue to grow with the company. Whilst we look forward to supporting your continued learning and development, for this role we have identified some qualifications, skills, and capabilities that will set you up for success.

These include:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant professional experience in the onshore wind industry, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record in the early stages of project development, including site identification, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Autodesk Viewer).
  • Experience with commercial contract frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with a passion for renewable energy and sustainability.

What we can offer you

  • Investment in your development.
  • Leaders you can count on, guided by our Leadership Principles.
  • Be valued for the unique person you are.
  • Never be short of inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects.
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company.
