Job Description

We are pleased to announce that we are now looking for two experienced and enthusiastic Project Developers / Senior Project Developers, depending on experience, to join our Development team in Statkraft Italy.

As a Project Developer/Senior Project Developer, you will proactively develop Statkraft's business in Italy in line with the company targets and be directly responsible for making a direct impact in the company's commercial growth, profitability and strategic direction. This position requires regular travel within Italy and potentially across Europe.

You will be part of our team based in Bari, working on a hybrid model (3 days at the office / 2 days remotely on weekly basis).

Your role:

  1. Support for scouting and originating new projects, looking after both site and project technical due diligence as well as all land and legal related activities to finalise and execute land agreements according to SK standards and your line manager supervision.
  2. Be in charge for managing the development process for secured projects throughout the whole development process main phases such as: origination, land agreements, project design, permit application, post authorisation up to Ready to Build (RtB).
  3. Manage all the necessary activities from Irrevocable Permit to bring the project to the shovel-ready status collecting all the secondary permits and managing the planning discharges working closely and in collaboration with the project delivery team.
  4. Monitor and coordinate the development of the Statkraft project portfolio, also by constantly interacting with all supporting departments, for wind, solar and storage Organic, Co-Developed and M&A projects up to RtB status as well as support the internal construction team up to COD.
  5. Be proactive and effectively and professionally manage relationships with external stakeholders, including development partners, public authorities (state, regional and local), landowners, as well as external advisors.
  6. Driving progress on the projects by coordinating different work-streams with other internal departments and support functions (e.g. Commercial, Engineering, Legal, Procurement, etc.)
  7. Working to ensure economic viability of projects/pipeline opportunities (taking ownership on assumptions used for a technical and financial assessment and managing internally the respective approval processes).
  8. Define and monitor development budget and manage costs and project economics as well as manage and control internal pipeline reporting.
  9. Provide strong understanding and further develop an in-depth knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, support schemes etc.

Qualifications

Your profile:

  1. Development – Possess a deep understanding of the Italian development process ideally across different renewable energy technologies, solar PV and wind, (including site related activities, interconnection process, permitting process, and so forth. Demonstrate good knowledge of associated business development costs (Devex, Capex, Opex).
  2. Management – Solid Project Management skills and experience.
  3. Energy Markets – knowledge of the electricity market in Italy, i.e. merchant, PPA and so forth.
  4. Grid Connection – solid understanding of the grid connection process, including but not limited to interaction with grid operators (TERNA and E-distribuzione), knowledge of the Italian regulation and development roadmaps.
  5. PV/WIND/Storage Technology – Demonstrated deep knowledge of solar/wind/storage technology and main equipment costs (e.g. panels, WTGs BOS, EPC, O&M). Basic knowledge of ancillary technologies (e.g. batteries, T&D networks, etc.)
  6. Corporate Environment – Fully accustomed to work within an international corporate environment with very good interpersonal and communication skills, following internal processes, respecting compliance policies, etc.
  7. Fluent in both Italian and English.
