Job Description Summary

As the RP Field Engineer, you will be responsible for meeting the daily service repair needs of the customer's equipment and driving customer satisfaction through Service Excellence. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives in the Nordics region including the Netherlands. In this role, you'll be responsible for providing on-site and remote support to internal and external customers using applicable technology and remote tools. You'll also act as the Technical focal point for Radio-Pharmacy modality within the region, for all major modality initiatives within New Product Introduction (NPI).

You'll be utilising all tools available to help drive Remote Fix Rate (RFR) and First Call Resolution (FCR), proactively support customer service, provide technical support to Zone Service Managers, Field Service Team, and the Sales Force throughout the region as well as develop the technical expertise of field service engineers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Advanced, total system-level troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and service repair needs on radio-pharmacy equipment.
  2. Daily interface with customers on equipment status issues. Act to ensure satisfaction to primary customers. Maintaining daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
  3. Keeping up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner.
  4. Maintaining tools and test equipment properly and ensuring they are calibrated.
  5. Identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team and assist in the growth and direction of business in his/her geographic area.
  6. Working as a member of the local team to provide efficient and cost-effective service delivery to all accounts within the assigned area.
  7. Responsible for Warranty and Planned Maintenance Service (PMS) contract cost control. Administration: Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time. Ensures timely completion of Field Modification Instructions (FMIs) and PMS inspections documentation for assigned accounts.
  8. Teach and assist other Field Engineers on advanced and complex troubleshooting and technical fixes, plays a leading role on complex and multifunctional system fixes.
  9. Installation: Plays a leading role in complex and multifunctional rooms.
  10. Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.

Required Qualifications

  1. Qualified to National Diploma or B-Tech Degree level or equivalent.
  2. Technical analytical skills 5+ years Field Services experience.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of a specific modality or multi-modalities.
  4. Ability to work independently with minimum direction.
  5. High work standards and quality. Initiative and motivation.
  6. Plans and organizes work effectively.
  7. Excellent communications, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Strong Customer skills; deals tactfully and effectively with differences of opinion, influences rather than directs.
  9. Previous experience with Radio-pharmacy is desirable.
