We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Products Market Expert to join our team at Statkraft.

About the Role

As part of our Trading and Origination team, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our analytical and data science capabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include managing and optimizing the US Environmental Products certificate/credit inventory, which involves creating tools, systems, and processes for REC and Carbon deliveries, as well as working with Settlements and Risk teams to create, maintain, and improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools.

You will also be responsible for ownership, creation, analysis, and dissemination of various US Environmental market models, including designing, building, and maintaining financial, trading, and supply/demand models. Additionally, you will provide fundamental and market analysis to provide insights on topics such as view formation, long-term deal pricing, optimal hedging strategies, and long-term calibration of curves and models.

Requirements
  • Strong understanding of power system economics and fundamental models
  • Experience trading commodities among a US client-base
  • Ability to analyze complex transactions
  • Understanding of common commercial terms for short and long-term transactions
  • Data science ability in Python

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of experience analyzing, executing transactions for any commodity market with a US client-base and possess strong communication skills, both internal and external. You will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a global network of experts, leaders, specialists, and graduates from different countries and backgrounds.
