Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Products Market Analyst to join our Trading and Origination team at Statkraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our US Environmental Products certificate/credit inventory, creating tools and systems for REC and Carbon deliveries, and working with Settlements and Risk teams to improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the US Environmental Products certificate/credit inventory, including creation of tools, systems, and processes for REC and Carbon deliveries.
  • Work with Settlements and Risk teams to create, maintain, and improve proprietary portfolio management programs and tools.
  • Create transparent reporting for outstanding/upcoming positions and near-term deliveries.
  • Design, build, and maintain financial, trading, and supply/demand models.
  • Provide data-driven decision support and deliver insights to senior portfolio managers and management.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of power system economics and fundamental models.
  • Experience trading commodities among a US client-base.
  • Experience analyzing complex transactions.
  • Understanding of common commercial terms for short and long-term transactions.
  • Data science ability in Python.
  • Pragmatic thinking and a commercial mindset.
  • Minimum of college degree.
