About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ESG Controller to join Heimstaden's Finance Department. As a key member of our Sustainability Reporting team, you will be responsible for managing, securing, and overseeing the processes for collecting, controlling, and analyzing ESG data and other relevant information.

Key Responsibilities
  1. ESG Data Management and Analysis
  • Manage, secure, and oversee the processes for collecting, controlling, and analyzing ESG data and other relevant information across the organization.
  • Ensure data accuracy, availability, and efficiency, and work towards continuous process improvements to enhance data quality and analytics.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Establish and ensure the implementation of standardized ESG reporting guidelines and applicable policies across all countries where Heimstaden operates.
  • Contribute to the ESG reporting and consolidation process, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of ESG quarterly and annual reports.
Process Improvement and Training
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement plans for data quality, reporting processes, and analytics.
  • Train country organizations on changes in reporting principles or internal policies to ensure compliance and consistency across the group.
Business Partnering and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as a business partner to other departments, including Asset Management, People and Culture, and Finance, to ensure alignment on ESG data and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to secure high-quality sustainability deliverables and disclosures.
Documentation and System Management
  • Document system architecture, processes, and procedures to maintain clarity and consistency in ESG data management.
  • Ensure the high quality and analysis of consolidated ESG data from all countries where Heimstaden is present.
Requirements
  1. 4-5 years of experience in audit, controlling, or a similar role from a consulting firm.
  2. Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee complex processes and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Exceptional analytical abilities with attention to detail, capable of interpreting and presenting complex ESG data clearly.
  4. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across departments and train teams on reporting principles.
