Quality Engineer Metrology

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer with Metrology expertise to join our team at 1X Technologies AS. As a Quality Engineer Metrology, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our products across the entire business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct technically complex and challenging root cause analysis on a wide variety of subjects across the 1X business.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to enhance quality standards across operations in Europe, the US, and with global suppliers, including conducting audits and implementing quality control systems.
  • Assist the Production and Manufacturing teams in improving processes and routines through technical expertise, focusing on efficiency, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Drive engineering design improvements to increase the quality of 1X hardware systems and our humanoid NEO.
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to strengthen relationships with suppliers and sub-manufacturers, conducting assessments and audits to ensure compliance with our quality requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality documentation, such as quality manuals, procedures, and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: within Metrology, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Experience: Hands-on experience and achievements working within the following:
    • Quality Engineering
    • Metrology / Measurement
  • Problem Solving: Ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional engineering teams across, design, manufacturing and supply chain using agile practices.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Experience using quality frameworks for resolving technically complex issues, such as Six Sigma, 8D, Ishikawa, SPC, FMEA, and 5 Whys.
  • Technical Experience: Experience in any of the following:
    • GD&T
    • Gauge R&R
    • CMM / Micrometers / Gauges
    • Assembly stack up & tolerancing
    • Machined parts
    • Stamping
    • Casting
