Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Engagement Strategy: Define and execute a comprehensive engagement strategy to support the Norwegian renewables projects, including creating and facilitating sustainable communication channels and building relationships with key stakeholders.
  2. Issues Management: Provide advice and develop public positions, briefing notes, key messages, FAQs, and other materials to support Norwegian renewables projects, the project company Ventyr, Parkwind, and JERA Nex Limited.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal functions and key stakeholders to support the implementation of the engagement strategy, including the Norway Country Manager, Parkwind Head of Projects, JERA Nex Head of Communications and Public Affairs, and relevant departments of Parkwind and JERA Nex.
  4. External Communications and Government Affairs: Oversee External Communications and Government Affairs activity in line with approved Strategy, including guidance on development of high-quality written submissions to government departments, committees, regulators, and other relevant bodies.
  5. Partnerships and Collaborations: Partner with external agencies as necessary to further build the projects' profiles and that of its shareholders in Norway and support implementation of the strategy.
  6. Online Presence: Formulate recommendations to JERA Nex Head of Communications and Public Affairs for development of the project company Ventyr, Parkwind NV, and JERA Nex Limited's on-line presence, website, and social media, in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
  7. Government Contacts: Act as focal point for government contacts, actively seek and manage engagements in line with the strategy.
  8. Reporting and Briefing: Report internally: within Parkwind NV and JERA Nex on the impact of public policy and regulatory issues, including mitigation of impact and strategies for influencing the OWF framework in Norway. Lead cross-functional production of briefing materials for senior leadership engagement with Norwegian ministers, senior politicians, civil servants, industry bodies, and other key policymakers or opinion leaders.

Requirements:

  1. Senior External Affairs and Communications Experience: Established track record in a senior external affairs and communications role.
  2. Strong Network: Strong network of existing relevant contacts in administration and government spanning the full landscape from central to decentralized levels.
  3. Norway Experience: Demonstrated experience in Norway in issues management in a relevant field such as the oil and gas sector, preferably including dealing with disgruntled communities/minorities.
  4. Interpersonal and Influencing Skills: Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Cross-Cultural Environment: Ability to build relationships quickly in a cross-cultural environment.
  6. Travel: Willingness to travel both within Norway and internationally as required.
