Your Responsibilities...

will center around providing comprehensive legal support to various internal departments and subsidiaries regarding ongoing and emerging legal and regulatory matters. You will offer legal insights on both domestic and international issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively assist in the formulation of Euronext's legal framework and policies concerning regulatory and legal issues (including business law, contract law, corporate law, intellectual property law, competition law, and related documentation).
  • Deliver legal counsel to internal stakeholders, identifying, managing, and communicating risks and opportunities linked to specific agreements and business strategies.
  • Represent Euronext in European and regional market integration initiatives.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, such as market integration agreements, collaboration agreements, service contracts, and IT delivery agreements.
  • Anticipate, communicate, and provide timely evaluations and guidance on potential risks in contractual, regulatory, compliance, financial, and other legal domains.
  • Address inquiries and concerns raised by market participants, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives within the legal team.

Your Profile

  • Proven ability to cultivate strong working relationships with colleagues across different business areas, external organizations, and key stakeholders, including senior management and external legal advisors.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and a creative approach to problem-solving, balancing business and legal objectives effectively.
  • Quick adaptability to new skill sets and areas of expertise, with the flexibility to engage with a diverse international clientele.
  • A pragmatic, high-energy professional, demonstrating personal and professional integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
  • Educational background: Master’s degree in law from a recognized university.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, either in a reputable law firm or as in-house counsel with international exposure.
  • Preferably knowledgeable about European financial markets and/or other regulated sectors.
