Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Montelgroup and oversee all legal matters related to our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage contracts and agreements.
  • Provide legal counsel to support our business objectives and serve as the primary point of contact for all legal inquiries and issues within the organization.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including vendor agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations impacting our business in Europe and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks and implications associated with business decisions.
  • Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure best practices are followed throughout the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law.
  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience, with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
  • Membership in good standing with the Norwegian Bar Association or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of Norwegian and major European legal systems and regulatory frameworks, ideally with a particular interest in the energy sector.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Must speak fluent Norwegian and English.
