About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at Advokatbladet. As a key member of our organization, you will provide guidance on complex legal matters, ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and foster the development of legal skills within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide Expert Legal Guidance: Offer strategic advice to management and staff on legal matters, ensuring that our business operations are aligned with relevant laws and regulations.
  2. Ensure Compliance: Develop and implement effective compliance programs to mitigate risks and ensure that our organization remains in good standing.
  3. Draft and Review Legal Documents: Prepare, review, and provide input on various legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and other business-related documents.
  4. Manage Complex Legal Matters: Oversee comprehensive legal matters in areas such as corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, tax law, intellectual property law, IT law, construction law, labor law, and dispute resolution.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage in relevant meetings with management, clients, advisors, lenders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Desired Qualifications
  1. Master's Degree in Law: Hold a Master's degree in law with good academic results and a license to practice law.
  2. Business Acumen: Possess additional education in Business Administration or Finance, which will be considered an advantage.
  3. Experience: Have a minimum of 10 years' work experience from a leading law firm and/or as in-house legal counsel.
  4. International Experience: Possess solid experience in an international setting, leading and collaborating with external law firms.
