Project Manager for Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Wärtsilä Corporation. As a Project Manager for Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems, you will be responsible for delivering innovative integrated electrical system projects, including battery hybrid and full electric solutions to both newbuild ships and retrofit upgrades.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage project teams through all stages of the project lifecycle, from engineering design to delivery and commissioning.
- Plan and execute projects, ensuring alignment with customer functional requirements and expectations.
- Manage procurement and delivery phases, working closely with procurement, logistics, and trade finance team members.
- Plan and manage commissioning phases to ensure system operation for customer final acceptance.
- Steer projects and work with teams to solve challenges that may arise.
- Represent Wärtsilä to customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction to expand our prospects.
- Take ownership of project costs, quality, and schedules.
- Manage and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.
- Participate in sales support, bid work, and customer visits.
- Bachelor's degree in an electrical/systems/automation field.
- Experience with integrating marine electrical/automation systems.
- Experience as a project manager.
- Good business sense.
- Understanding of key project methodologies, such as PRINCE2 or PMBoK.
- Good language skills in English, orally and in writing.
- Language skills in Norwegian are a benefit but not required.
