Within Ship Electrification Solutions (SES), we are recognized as a premier provider of electric and hybrid solutions tailored for the marine sector. Our offerings encompass Shaft Generators, Electric Propulsion Systems, Hybrid Solutions, and shore power. We aim to enhance our dynamic and enthusiastic team by appointing a Manager for the Electric and Hybrid Project Delivery team, who possesses expertise in the marine industry and electrical power systems.

As the Electric and Hybrid Project Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, including project managers, coordinators, document controllers, and project support personnel, while overseeing a global portfolio of battery hybrid and fully electric solutions for both newbuild vessels and retrofitting projects. You will also have the chance to shape the project management function within Ship Electrification Solutions, taking on the role of project management function lead across delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct the assigned team of project managers, document controllers, and project support staff. Foster the technical and professional development of your team to ensure a customer-centric approach and successful project outcomes. Maintain effective communication within the team to execute Wärtsilä and SES strategies. Oversee the project order book managed by your team, including risk assessment and scheduling. Collaborate with the team to meet SES and Wärtsilä KPIs relevant to your scope. Supervise the project management function in SES by defining operational procedures in the project delivery manual and facilitating the monitoring of key project management metrics. Cultivate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, from suppliers to clients. Engage actively in sales support, bid preparation, and client visits.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical, systems, or automation engineering. Proven experience in integrating marine electrical and automation systems. Demonstrated experience as a project manager. Strong business acumen. Familiarity with key project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 or PMBoK. Proficient in both spoken and written English; knowledge of Norwegian is advantageous but not mandatory.
