Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Arabic language, linguistics, education).
  • Pedagogical education or equivalent qualifications in teaching Arabic as a foreign language.
  • Native speaker fluency or near-native competence in Arabic.
  • Ability to teach in English (or Norwegian/Swedish/Danish). A two-year period will be given to learn sufficient Norwegian to participate actively in all functions the position may involve.

We encourage applicants with teaching experience, particularly from internet-based teaching and producing course materials.
