
Quantitative Social Science PhD Researcher

The University of Oslo invites applications for a PhD research fellow position in the Department of Psychology. This is part of the ERC Advanced Grant project "Health, Cognition, Family, and Employment among Men (HOMME)".
HOMME explores how men's changing family and working lives affect their health and cognition. The successful candidate will develop a research agenda focusing on the effects of men's participation in the family and drivers of diverse fertility and family experiences. The candidate will use rich linkage data from the Norwegian population and larger health studies.
As a PhD candidate, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team with backgrounds in demography, sociology, psychology, economics, and health sciences. You will work closely with researchers at other institutions, especially the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, and collaborate with international project partners.
This appointment is a full-time position for three years, with the possibility of extending to four years including teaching and administrative duties. The HUP Section conducts research and provides education in various academic programs. It has around 40 staff members, including permanent lecturers, associate professors, and professors.
Qualifications:- Mastery of qualitative and quantitative methods in social science research
- Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization
