Oslo, Oslo County, Norway Arbeidsplassen Full time

The Arne Klungland Lab is seeking a highly motivated researcher to explore RNA modification mechanisms in cancer cells and early embryonic development. As a researcher in our lab, you will contribute to one or more well-funded research projects aiming to unveil novel insights into RNA modifications. Our team specializes in epigenetic and epitranscriptomic modifications, DNA repair, and genome (in)stability, with a focus on cancer and embryology research.

We are affiliated with the Centre for Embryology and Healthy Development (CRESCO), a Norwegian Centre of Excellence at the University of Oslo. CRESCO brings together an interdisciplinary team of researchers to study epigenetic and epitranscriptomic regulation in minute samples, including early embryos and cancer biopsies.

As a researcher in our lab, you will have access to state-of-the-art laboratory facilities and unique datasets. We offer a vibrant and supportive research environment that promotes personal and academic growth.

To be successful in this role, you should have a PhD or master's degree in biology, biochemistry, computer science, systems biology, or a related field. You should also have fundamental knowledge of molecular biology techniques and/or embryology, as well as basic coding skills in languages such as Matlab, R, Julia, or Python.

Strong English communication skills are essential, both oral and written. We are looking for a proactive, organized, and innovative problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.
