About the Role
Statkraft, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to join our Origination team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts and environmental commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Origination team in sourcing and managing a long-term portfolio of third-party renewable energy contracts and environmental commodities.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the power market, including market trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Work closely with originators to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to optimize the portfolio.
- Collaborate with the business and various departments to provide daily pricing advice, forecasting, and support.
- Build and maintain Statkraft's power market portfolio, with a focus on PJM markets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with proprietary trading teams, credit, operations, and trading teams.
- Assess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging customer challenges, and changes in the marketplace into market strategies and product offerings.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a related field, with a strong background in fundamental analysis, risk management, and market pricing.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with experience pricing structured, non-standard contracts in power markets.
- High degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues of quantitative, qualitative, and structural variety.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
