Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at 3M, you will be part of a dynamic team that drives innovation and growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with global experts and explore new markets in the North Sea region. Your key responsibilities will include managing Ceramic Sand Screen (CSS) accounts, interfacing with marketing organizations, and contributing to the EMEA CSS Value Creation Team to drive growth and technology acceptance. To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record in oilfield services, experience working with clients in lower/sand control completion applications, and a strong understanding of the Oil and Gas industry. Additionally, you should be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and exhibit a sense of urgency to drive effective change. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all Ceramic Sand Screen (CSS) accounts in the North Sea (UK, Norway, EU) and as agreed in EMEA.
  • Interface with Marketing Organisation to nurture leads and collaborate on marketing operations.
  • Be a member of the EMEA CSS Value Creation Team to drive CSS growth and market technology acceptance.
  • Support growth strategy and tactics formulation and tasks.
  • Provide Oil & Gas Completion situational awareness to R&D and Application Engineering.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working for an Oilfield Service Company in lower/sand control completion applications preferably having been client facing.
  • Previous experience working for an Energy Operator in lower/sand control completion design.
  • Preferably having completed industry graduate or technician training programme.
  • Clients with relevant Oil and Gas experience but not in sand control will be considered if candidate has proven capability to become competent in new disciplines quickly.
  • Candidate must display critical thinking and problem-solving skills evidenced by previous successful outcome of strategy and tactics developed by the candidate or is able to demonstrate an aptitude for these capabilities.
  • Proven experience of networking and managing customers based in Norway.
  • Fluent in English language both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), leadership abilities and desire to collaborate across the function and organization.
  • Proven ability to use analytics and influencing skills to drive results.
  • Exhibited sense of urgency to drive effective change and manage performance.

Work Location:
  • Candidates who are located in Norway is strongly preferred.
  • UK and other Nordic based candidates will be considered with proven experience of operating within the North Sea/Norwegian Oil & Gas markets.
  • Work your way eligible with either Hybrid/Remote/Home based/Office based - all fully supported.
  • May include up to 10% domestic/international travel.
