PhD Candidate in Developing Battery Digitalization Methods for Parameter Identification

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD candidate to join our research team at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering. The successful candidate will work on developing digitalization methods for battery parameter identification, contributing to the FME Battery centre's research efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive research on battery digitalization and parameter identification
- Develop and apply sophisticated modeling techniques and data-driven methodologies
- Collaborate with industry partners and contribute to the development of digitalized battery research
- Present research findings at international conferences and workshops
- Contribute to the supervision of master's students and other student projects
- Master's degree in computational science, machine learning, or a related field
- Relevant experience with independent work and data analysis software (e.g., Python, Matlab, LabVIEW)
- Good understanding and experience with experimental electrochemistry
- Experience with applying data-driven approaches to batteries
- Excellent written and oral English language and communication skills
- Strong academic background and demonstrated capacity to learn new topics
- Enthusiastic and highly motivated
- Able to work effectively on their own and in a team
- Diligent, thorough, and hard-working
- Able to work structured and goal-oriented with a drive to get projects finished
- Creative, good at finding solutions
