Highway Safety and Environment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HSEQ specialist to provide HSEQ & ESG support and guidance for Renewable projects at DeepOcean. In this pivotal role, you will lead the implementation and ensure compliance with HSEQ and ESG requirements in all project phases within the Renewables department.
As a key member of our HSEQ Department, you will have the autonomy to allocate your time effectively in supporting the Renewables team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a larger HSEQ Department and pioneer an exciting new role within the company.
Your expertise will drive continuous improvement and ensure our operations consistently meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational guidance for HSEQ & ESG requirements in all project phases within the Renewables department.
- Supervise and support HSEQ on a daily basis for all operational worksites and projects.
- Ensure procedures, standards, and best practices are maintained.
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and suppliers, attending project meetings, audits, and inspections.
- Oversee and participate in risk assessments in relevant tendering, operational, and project phases.
- Provide advice on hazardous working practices and necessary control measures.
- Monitor and report on compliance with legislation and the Business Management System.
- Participate in internal and external audits, including third-party accreditation processes.
- Oversee incident and near miss reporting, guiding and supporting as required.
- Develop and deliver HSEQ training, presentations, and familiarizations courses as needed.
Requirements
- Degree or other equivalent recognized HSEQ & ESG qualification.
- 5 years+ in a discipline-related role.
- Recognized Lead Auditor Qualifications.
- Industry experience.
